I have been blessed with an incredible wife and three awesome kiddos. I love fishing, playing board games and just hanging out with family and friends.
I am also a Business Intelligence consultant and trainer for Pragmatic Works. I have experience using the full BI-Stack to design and implement enterprise solutions for customers. These technologies include: T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS (Multidimensional and Tabular), MDX, and Data Warehouse design.
I was given my opportunity in the IT field by Brian Knight the CEO and Founder of Pragmatic Works. I am very thankful for the opportunity I have received and try to give back to the community through speaking engagements and blogging.
I have been fortunate enough and honored to speak at multiple SQL Server User Groups, SQL Saturday Events, as well as online through virtual training.
Thanks for taking a look at my blog!
Mitchell – I am having an issue with reading an excel spreadsheet. I was wondering if you’ve ever written a ssis package using and excel spreadsheet as input. I can provide more info but my testing results have been very inconsistent.
Thanks,
Jim Aikins
Hi Jim, Please email me at mpearson@pragmaticworks.com so we can discuss. Thanks.
Hi Mitchell,
I am having issues with implementing Dynamic Cube Partitioning. I am not able to create new Server using the script task. looks like msft has changed AnalysisServices.Server class to an abstract class.
Please help
Hey Sanjana, unfortunately I haven’t worked with Analysis Services multi-dimensional in a few years and won’t be able to help in this situation. A better and cleaner solution might be to build the partitions and process them within the built in SSIS Tasks instead of inside a script tasks. Best of Luck finding a better solution!
